TALE presents 1st Annual Literary Event: Tacoma Word! on November 3, 2007

TACOMA, WA--The Tacoma Area Literary Enthusiasts (TALE) are proud to present: Tacoma Word! in the Phoenix Hall at the Freighthouse Square in downtown Tacoma on Saturday, November 3, 2007. This FREE, all-day literary event is TALE’s first annual celebration of local writers, poets, and the rich and growing literary arts community in the City of Tacoma and surrounding areas.

The 2007 Tacoma Word! event theme is Northwest Perspectives in Literary Art. TALE has invited a diverse group of wordsmiths from across the state of Washington and beyond to read, present and perform written works that are all uniquely inspired by their perspectives on living in the Great Northwest.

The schedule of free events for Tacoma Word! will include writer’s workshops (limited seating available), poetry readings, live music, an Open Mic, and a literary open house featuring artists, authors, poets, literary presses, literary journals and organizations from across the Northwest. Literary Open House guests will be available to meet, share their works, sell books, and offer writing and publishing advice to event attendees that stop by their booths.
